Pickering University - Yours for a price.
For those in the online education lead generation space, perhaps the only thing better than having an exclusive deal with an online university would be owning your own university. Proving that you can find "it" on eBay, now education lead generation companies can make that dream a reality. Ultimately, though, what it comes down to is how much would pay for a dot edu domain name? If only this were more generic...

As Pickering University says on its website "Pickering University is committed to the student, sensitive to the needs of the work force and employers, and open to change." In this case, it indeed looks like they are "open to change."

Update (3/6/2006) - The owner of Pickering University has raised the price from $999 to $75,000. The eBay descriptions says, "can be very profitable if marketed and run correctly." Doesn't that describe just about any business? File this one under fishy.
