I'd like to think this is the case with so many people who create content - where what is written represents only a fraction of what we could say and want to say. That's always been the case with me, more so than most. But, it's hit a truly critical point, one where I have been contemplating starting a new "blog" because what exists today seems so inadequate. Here have been my issues:
1) I'm not technical - were I a hacker and not a hack, I could create the structure. Even if I didn't create the right one, I could control the downside (less disruption) than I can today.
2) Purpose - despite this blog bearing my name, it's not truly a personal blog. The content intertwines heavily with who I am and what interests me, which is all things customer acquisition. Those who have supported me and who come here look for a certain type of content and ratio of that content. It's quality over quantity and quality over frequency. Not wanting to mess with that formula and the trust/expectations of people who share and give their time is a huge priority.
What are the alternate options that help? Is it Tumblr? Is that what About.me is? Where do I get to create and aggregate my content but have it differentiated in placement and prominence? I'm sure it exists. At least I hope it does so that I don't start alienating you by being me :)
